Help, safety, and trust
Everything you need to know about how Kindly works, how we protect your privacy, and what Kindly can and cannot do.
How Kindly works
You can ask Kindly for help in three ways: speak your question out loud, type it, or upload a screenshot or photo. Kindly reads or listens to what you shared, explains it in plain language, and gives you clear, numbered steps to follow.
Kindly is an AI assistance tool. It is not a human representative, and it does not take actions on your behalf — it explains what to do so you can do it yourself, with confidence.
Privacy basics
Kindly only uses what you share — your questions, screenshots, and photos — to give you an answer. We aim to keep only what is necessary to provide the service and to improve how well Kindly can help.
Uploaded files are not kept longer than necessary, and you can request deletion of your conversation history and uploads at any time from your account settings or by contacting support.
Full details will be published in our Privacy Policy.
Information you should not upload
To keep you safe, please never upload or type:
- Full passwords or PINs
- Social Security numbers
- Complete credit-card or bank account numbers
- Medical records or health insurance ID numbers
- Any other highly sensitive personal information
If you accidentally share something sensitive, Kindly will let you know and will avoid repeating it back to you.
Scam awareness
Kindly can help you slow down and think through a message, call, or offer that feels off. Common warning signs include urgent pressure to act immediately, requests for gift cards or wire transfers, and messages claiming to be from a bank, government agency, or delivery company asking you to click a link or pay a fee.
Kindly can help you understand these warning signs, but it cannot guarantee that something is or isn't a scam. When in doubt, pause, and confirm with a trusted family member or by contacting the organization directly using a phone number you know is real.
Accessibility
Kindly is built to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. This includes:
- Large, high-contrast text throughout the site and app
- Large touch targets and generous spacing
- Full keyboard navigation and visible focus outlines
- Descriptive labels for screen readers on every button and form field
- Reduced-motion support for anyone sensitive to animation
- No information communicated by color alone
If something on the site or in the app is hard to use, please let us know — accessibility feedback is always welcome.
Emergency disclaimer
Kindly is not an emergency service and cannot send help. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, having a medical emergency, or needs urgent assistance, please call your local emergency number right away (such as 911 in the United States).
Medical, legal, and financial disclaimer
Kindly can help you understand information and think through next steps, but it does not replace a doctor, lawyer, bank, financial advisor, or government agency. For medical, legal, or financial decisions, please confirm with a qualified professional.
AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete.
